Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 15, 2025
At LightFluxIgnite, we take your privacy seriously. This isn't just another legal document you'll skim through and forget—it's our commitment to being transparent about how we handle your information.
We're a blockchain security audit and testing company based in Taiwan, and we understand that trust is everything in this industry. So let's talk plainly about what data we collect, why we need it, and what we do with it.
Information We Collect
When you work with us or visit our website, we collect certain information. Most of it you give us directly—like when you reach out for a consultation or request our services.
Direct Information You Provide
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, company name
- Project information: technical specifications, blockchain protocols, security concerns
- Business correspondence: emails, messages, meeting notes
- Payment information: billing addresses and transaction records (though payment processing happens through secure third parties)
Automatically Collected Information
Like most modern websites, ours collects some data automatically when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser type, pages you view, and how long you stick around. We use this to understand how people use our site and where we can improve things.
How We Use Your Data
Everything we collect has a purpose. We're not sitting here hoarding information for fun.
- Providing our blockchain security services and communicating about your projects
- Sending you audit reports, testing results, and security recommendations
- Processing payments and maintaining financial records
- Improving our testing methodologies based on project patterns we observe
- Meeting legal obligations under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act
- Sending occasional updates about security trends that might affect your projects (you can opt out anytime)
What we don't do: We never sell your data to third parties. We don't share your project details with competitors. We don't use your information for purposes beyond what we've outlined here.
Data Storage and Security
Your information lives on secure servers, and we take multiple precautions to keep it safe. This includes encryption during transmission, restricted access within our team, and regular security audits—yes, we audit our own systems with the same rigor we apply to client projects.
Our servers are located in Taiwan and comply with local data protection regulations. Project-specific data is stored separately from general website information, with additional access controls.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Active project data stays with us for the duration of our engagement plus seven years afterward—that's a legal requirement in Taiwan for business records. General inquiry information gets deleted after two years if no business relationship develops.
If you specifically request deletion (more on that below), we'll remove your data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to maintain records.
Your Rights Under Taiwan Law
Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act gives you several rights regarding your information. Here's what you can do:
| Your Right | What This Means |
|---|---|
| Access | Request a copy of what personal data we hold about you |
| Correction | Ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information |
| Deletion | Request removal of your data (with some legal exceptions) |
| Suspension | Ask us to stop using your data temporarily |
| Objection | Oppose certain uses of your information |
To exercise any of these rights, just send us an email at contact@lightfluxignite.com. We'll respond within 15 days, as required by Taiwan law. There's no fee for reasonable requests, though we might charge for excessive or repetitive demands.
Sharing Your Information
We keep your data pretty close to the chest. But there are a few situations where we might share it:
- With service providers who help us operate (like cloud hosting, payment processors, or email services)—they're contractually bound to protect your data
- When required by Taiwan law or legal processes
- If we genuinely believe disclosure prevents harm or protects someone's safety
- With your explicit permission for specific purposes
If our business structure changes through a merger or acquisition, your data would transfer to the new entity—but they'd still be bound by this privacy policy until they give you notice of changes.
International Data Transfers
Most of our operations stay within Taiwan. However, some service providers we use (cloud infrastructure, communication tools) might process data outside Taiwan. When this happens, we ensure adequate protections through contractual agreements that meet Taiwan's standards for international data transfers.
If you're reaching out from outside Taiwan, your data will be transferred to and processed in Taiwan according to this policy and local regulations.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses cookies—small text files stored on your device. Mostly these are functional (remembering your language preference, keeping you logged in if you access client portals) rather than tracking your every move across the internet.
Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential cookies: necessary for the website to function properly
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors interact with our site (anonymized data)
- Preference cookies: remember your settings and choices
You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though this might affect some functionality on our site.
Children's Privacy
Our services aren't directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors. If you're a parent who discovers your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We update this privacy policy occasionally—usually when we add new services, adopt new technologies, or respond to regulatory changes. When we make significant updates, we'll notify current clients directly and post a notice on our website.
The "Last Updated" date at the top tells you when we last made changes. We recommend checking back periodically, especially if you're concerned about how your data is handled.
Questions and Complaints
If something in this policy concerns you, or if you have questions about how we handle your data, we want to hear from you. Seriously—we'd rather address concerns directly than have you wondering or worrying.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with Taiwan's National Development Council, which oversees personal data protection compliance. But we hope it doesn't come to that—let's talk first.
